Explore the marriage and synchronicity between movement and breath, through Vinyasa Flow.
Join me (yoga and surf teacher of 15 years) to focus on building connecting to the breath by working with Ujjai pranayama. Using creative sequencing to weave together dynamic and energising asana, we’ll tap into yogic principles to encourage curiosity, awareness and self compassion. As a big believer that yoga is a tool to find more freedom in this hectic modern World, I’m excited to launch this Monday lunchtime class designed to help students start the week in an embodied way.
You will:
🌞 work with Sun Salutations to generate heat and activate the nervous system.
☯️ also utilise down-regulating techniques to calm and soothe the nervous system and mind.
🪂 be guided through plenty of preparation poses to move safely and confidently into a stronger practice (in a trauma informed approach).
🤸🏽 learn how to safely play with arm balances and inversions and challenge the limits of your practice.
🕉️ be introduced to a wider spectrum of yoga (not just asana) such as philosophy and the 8 limbs.
🪷 be offered and encouraged to make take variations and modifications, making this an all levels class.
If you’re a surfer this class will support you to harness your wave magnet energy. And if not, it will provide a physical practice to help you stay healthy and mobile for life’s waves through cultivating concentration, balance, agility, flexibility, core stability and relaxation.
